Policy details & applicability
This Privacy Policy applies to the personal information of individual or group of individuals (which means any and all information/documents/details pertaining to a natural person or group of persons, such information may either directly or indirectly or in combination with other information available with SaveIN, may be used to identify such a person or group.
This Privacy Policy shall be referred to govern the use of any or all SaveIN Services, availed by our Customers which may include personal as well as business use unless specified explicitly.
The Company may unilaterally amend this Privacy Policy at any time by posting a revised version on the SaveIN Platform. In case of a significant change, the Company may also post specific notifications for customers, and it is strongly advised that customers should review the policy before using any SaveIN platform and on a periodic basis from thereon. The company will not be held responsible for any misunderstanding arising out of the user's ignorance to the Privacy Policy in force.
Information We Collect
We may collect some or all of the following personal information in order to provide you with a seamless and intuitive user experience.
Device Information
We may collect information through your computer, mobile phone, tablets, or other devices that you use to access SaveIN platform. Such information collected by us includes, but is not limited to, the following: IP address, browsing data, device ID or unique identifier, device type, geo-location information, computer and internet information, mobile network information, statistics on page views, referral URL, advertisement data, web log data and other such information, Calendar information etc.
We may also collect anonymous information through the use of cookies and web beacons. We may collect and store any information that you may provide to us or agree to share, including when you add information on web forms, add or update your account information, participate in social media, community/SaveIN club discussions, chats, or dispute resolutions, or when you otherwise correspond with us regarding SaveIN Services through any channel.
Credit Information Report
Your Credit Information (credit score and credit information report) may be procured by us through your credit records with Credit Information Companies "CICs" with your consent and in conformation to the applicable regulatory framework to access such information. SaveIN may receive this information from one or more CICs for and on your behalf only once you agree to appoint SaveIN as your lawfully and voluntarily appointed authorized agent/representative for collecting your credit information from CICs. By consenting to use and availing your credit information report through SaveIN, you agree that SaveIN and CICs shall be entitled to rely on your authorization and consent granted by you to SaveIN.
Other Information
When you use SaveIN platform, we may also collect information about your transactions and your activities including but not limited to:
Other Information — data you voluntarily provide when filling forms, responding to surveys, or using Platform features.
We may also collect information from or about you from other sources, such as through your correspondence with us, including our customer support team, your interactions with members of the SaveIN employees or representatives.
Additionally, SaveIN may monitor or record all of your communication with SaveIN platform, any SaveIN employee or representative at any time of its choice. Also, by communicating with SaveIN, you acknowledge that your communication may be overheard, monitored, or recorded without further notice or warning.
After obtaining the User's specific consent to allow the SaveIN platform to access the User's SMS inbox, we may collect relevant information from text messages (SMS) received by the Users from providers of services and/or products, that will enable us to provide better access to financial products and services, managing your expenditure by providing insights and other products to the Users. In case we do, we shall only access business messages and will never intrude in your personal messages.
When you download or use our mobile applications, or access one of our mobile optimized sites, we may receive information about your location and your mobile device, including a unique identifier for your device. We may use this information to provide you with location based services. Most mobile devices allow you to control or disable location services in the device's settings menu.
Biometric Data
We do not collect your biometrics.
Mobile Phone Resources
We will not access your mobile phone resources such as file and media, contact list, call logs, telephony functions, etc., in relation to the credit facility or as part of its role as a DLA / LSP. However, we may, with your prior explicit consent, seek one-time access for camera, microphone, location or any other facility necessary for the purpose of on-boarding requirements in connection with the credit facility.
Consent
By using any of SaveIN platforms, you expressly consent to SaveIN and including all its marketing channels and business partners, representatives to provide the details/documents/information mentioned hereinabove for the purpose stated under this Privacy Policy.
You also expressly consent to SaveIN (including its marketing channels and business partners/representatives) to contact you through SMS, call, WhatsApp and/or e-mail or any other applicable communication platform and to follow up in relation to the Services provided by or through the SaveIN Platform, for corresponding on transactions, imparting product knowledge, offering promotional offers through SaveIN Platform & various other offers offered by its business partners.
You hereby authorize and expressly consent us to share your Personal information with third parties including but not limited to Banks, credit information bureaus, government agencies or any other such agency mandated by law, for completion of the services availed.
How We Use Your Information (Purposes)
The Company's primary purpose to collect any or all the aforementioned personal information is to provide you with a secure, smooth, efficient, smart, and personalized experience while dealing with SaveIN products or products and services facilitated by SaveIN through its partners.
We may use your personal information to:Onboarding and registration, including identity verification and KYC compliance. Assessing creditworthiness and facilitating loan/credit facility underwriting by partner banks/NBFCs. Enabling and processing transactions with Merchants and payment intermediaries, including settlement and reconciliation. Servicing loans and credit facilities, including EMI presentation, reminders and collection activities. Providing customer support and handling grievances and disputes. Fraud detection, monitoring, risk management and information security. Compliance with applicable laws, regulations, regulatory reporting obligations and law-enforcement requests. Sending service-related and, where permitted, marketing communications (with the ability to opt out of marketing communications as set out below).
We may also use the User information to enable activities and transactions that need to occur during the process of services offered by SaveIN, such as:Generating and maintaining User profiles on the App Providing personalized features Helping you select the best financial product Facilitating transactions on the platform Maintaining regular communications with the User concerning transactions the User initiates Modifying the App from time to time to cater to the User's interests Avoiding the need for the user to enter previously entered information again
Framework of Data Security
Personal information is defined as information that can be associated with a specific person or a group of persons and can be used to identify that person or group. Information that has been made anonymous so that it does not identify a specific user shall not be considered as Personal information.
We store and process your personal information on systems located in India and use reasonable physical, technical and administrative safeguards designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction, consistent with the IT (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures) Rules, 2011 and industry standards.
Note that we shall not be liable for any third-party breaches to the security of your information. Please beware of phishing attacks. We shall not be responsible for any loss or damage if you share any Account information or otherwise to such phishing attacks.
Lender Data Handling
In respect of the information specifically provided as a part of the application process for credit facility, SaveIN and the Lender shall collectively decide and abide by the mutual understanding arrived at on matters regarding the storage of customer data including the type of data that can be stored, the length of time for which data can be stored, restrictions on the use of data, data destruction protocol, standards for handling security breach etc.
ISO/IEC 27001 Compliance
We are an ISO/IEC 27001 compliant company which means we have implemented applicable industry standard security controls that help us protect our customer's data in a secure manner. You may be assured that in case we become aware of any security breach of your data, we shall take all measures in line with the aforementioned standards.
Our Security Commitment
We are committed to our customer's data and privacy. We blend security at multiple steps within our products with state of the art technology to ensure our systems maintain strong security measures. The overall data and privacy security design allows us to defend our systems ranging from low hanging issues up to sophisticated attacks. In the unfortunate event of any unauthorized access or breach, we will act promptly to restore your data, work with law enforcement if necessary, and reinforce our defenses to ensure it does not happen again.
How We Share Your Information
We may share your Personal information with our affiliates and business partners where we feel that you will be assisted better for the purpose of availing the SaveIN Services. Subject to applicable law and your consents, SaveIN may share your information with:Lending Partners (banks/NBFCs and their group entities) — for onboarding, KYC, underwriting, servicing and enforcement of loans and credit facilities. Merchants and Healthcare/Wellness Partners — to enable and reconcile underlying commercial transactions, refunds and chargebacks, and to address transaction specific issues. Payment Aggregators, Gateways and Networks — for payment initiation, processing and settlement. Service Providers — including IT infrastructure, cloud, analytics, KYC, customer support, collections and recovery providers, engaged under contractual safeguards that require them to handle data in accordance with this Policy and applicable law. Regulators, Authorities and Law Enforcement — where required to comply with legal obligations, court orders, regulatory directions or law-enforcement requests. Professional Advisors — auditors, legal and other advisors, under confidentiality obligations, for legitimate business or legal purposes.
Other unaffiliated third parties, for the following purposes:Fraud Prevention and Risk Management: to help prevent fraud or assess and manage risk Customer Service: for customer service purposes, including to help service your accounts or resolve disputes Legal Compliance: to help them comply with anti-money laundering and counter terrorist financing verification requirements Service Providers: to enable service providers under contract with us to support our business operations
We may also seek necessary explicit consent on a case to case basis, as deemed appropriate as per our operational framework or applicable law.
Lawful Basis and Roles (DPDP Act)
For the purposes of the DPDP Act, SaveIN generally acts as a Data Fiduciary in relation to the digital personal data of individuals who access or use the Platform or SaveIN services, as it determines alone or together with its group entities the purposes and means of processing such data. In certain limited arrangements, SaveIN may act as a Data Processor where it processes personal data solely on behalf of, and under the documented instructions of, a partner bank/NBFC or Merchant that determines the purposes and means of such processing. In those cases, the partner shall be the Data Fiduciary and SaveIN shall act as its Data Processor under a valid contract.
Processing of your personal data by SaveIN is based on one or more of the following lawful grounds recognised under the DPDP Act: (a) Consent — for example, where you provide OTP-based consent to avail a loan/credit facility and to the associated processing of your personal data; and (b) Legitimate uses permitted under the DPDP Act — including compliance with law, responding to legal requests, prevention and detection of fraud, and network and information security.
Cookies Policy
The Platform may use cookies, web beacons and similar technologies for session management, authentication, security, analytics and personalisation. You may manage your browser/device settings to block or delete cookies, though some features may not function properly if cookies are disabled.
Procedure of Opting Out
The User can at any time while availing the services or otherwise, withdraw his/her consent given previously to SaveIN for collecting, receiving, possessing, storing, dealing or handling Information of the User or ask for deletion of Personal Information or User account, by sending us your request by email on support@savein.money. In such case, SaveIN will unfortunately not be in a position to provide the Services to you. However, SaveIN will be able to retain such Information for the time period in accordance with the applicable laws.
If you do not wish to receive marketing communications from us, you may write to us on support@savein.money.
Please note that it may take about 15 business days to process your request. In furtherance to your usage of the SaveIN Platform, you expressly waive the Do Not Call (DNC)/Do Not Disturb (DND) registrations on your phone/mobile numbers for contacting you for such purpose and usage.
Your Rights and Choices (DPDP Act)
Subject to applicable law (including the DPDP Act), you may have the following rights as a Data Principal: (a) seek information about how your personal data is processed; (b) request access to and correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data; (c) withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, without affecting the lawfulness of processing undertaken prior to such withdrawal; (d) request erasure of your personal data, subject to outstanding financial obligations and applicable legal and regulatory retention requirements; and (e) lodge a grievance with the designated Grievance Officer identified below.
Requests may be made by writing to the Grievance Officer at grievance@savein.money, or through such other channels as may be notified by SaveIN from time to time on the Platform (including in-app data principal request features, where available). To enable us to process your request in accordance with the DPDP Act, we will require you to provide identification details sufficient to verify your identity. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request and may decline or limit requests where permitted by applicable law, including where compliance would adversely affect the rights of others or conflict with legal or regulatory obligations.
Data Retention & Deletion
SaveIN will retain your information for such period as is required under applicable law (including the Reserve Bank of India’s Master Direction on Know Your Customer (KYC), the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002 and rules made thereunder, and the Income-tax Act, 1961) and as required under SaveIN’s contractual obligations with its lending and other regulated partners, and in any event for a minimum period of ten (10) years from the date of your last transaction with SaveIN, or your request for termination of your account with SaveIN, whichever is later. Furthermore, SaveIN may also be required to retain certain information under the applicable law and/or as part of its contractual obligations with the Banks/Financial Institutions and accordingly such information shall be retained as prescribed under the applicable law or part of SaveIN's contractual obligation.
At any time, you may choose to withdraw consent for your information, and seek deletion/return of the same from our records. You may email support@savein.money from your registered email ID, with subject line as: "Deleting SaveIN account and withdrawal of consent of use of information", clearly mentioning your registered mobile number and asking for deletion of account with SaveIN. Please note that your account can only be deleted in the event of no existing financial obligation on you on account of using products or services facilitated through the SaveIN platform.
Post termination of your relationship, SaveIN may continue to use your anonymized data aggregated or in combination with anonymized data of other users. We use this aggregated anonymized data for data analysis, profiling, and research purposes, for example to gain insights about our users and their profiles. We may keep your contact information along with your application details (if any) for fraud prevention purposes and for the exercise/defence of a legal claim or for providing evidence in legal proceeding(s).
Upgrading Personal Info
In case of any changes in the personal information shared by you with SaveIN, you may contact our customer support or write to us on support@savein.money.
Obligation with Other Platforms
Sometimes, SaveIN platforms may link to other platforms that may collect personally identifiable information about you. SaveIN is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such linked platforms.
Grievance Redressal
For any grievance, complaint or request in relation to this Policy or your personal data, including requests to exercise your rights under the DPDP Act, you may contact the Grievance Officer whose details are provided below. We aim to acknowledge your complaint within 48 hours and resolve it within 30 days of receipt.
